hi hello!
it’s celine (like celine dion) and jonas (like the brothers) and this is how our love story began …
… one might say, Celine was the best birthday present Jonas ever received.
the first 3 years.

Within the first date, we learned some core things about each other, for example, Jonas would die on a hill for a cheeseburger and Celine couldn’t live without the ocean.
Unfortunate for each other, Celine is vegetarian and Jonas hates boats.
But in all seriousness, our love for each other grew through the sheer passion for adventure and always being down to try something new. LA was home for a year where we explored new coffee shops, went horseback riding, attended each other’s COVID graduations, and witnessed Celine’s first time at Walmart.
Our journey took a turn when Celine moved back to Malaysia and we entered our long distance era. Even with a 16 hour time difference, we managed to get our dose of quality time through movie nights, facetime dates, and over 350 games of battleship.
Long distance evoked an even greater sense of adventure leading us to become digital nomads. Together we traveled the world to 10 different countries, 4 continents and 8 US states. (And yes, nearly every travel destination involved a cheeseburger and a boat.)

Fast forward to summer 2024, Celine made her way back to LA and we began our lives together in-person!! In addition to Celine moving, Mr. Lantern (our handsome Malaysian street doggo) also scored himself a ticket to LA…in fact, he even got his papers faster than Celine. Today, our simple joys include trying new cafes, pretending to be wine connoisseur, playing mahjong, beach volleyball Saturdays and spoiling Lantern with treats and hikes.
Although we officially tied the knot last October in a private civil ceremony, we are beyond excited to celebrate, party, and rip up the dance floor with everyone next March. While we can’t promise a grand entrance on a boat, we can promise cheeseburgers at the wedding.
